Sophrology & Tremoring for body awareness
A 90-minute online workshop with Claudia Colella · Thursday, June 18, 2026 · 10:00 AM MT / 17:00 BST / 18:00 CEST
Previous tremoring experience required — this workshop is intended for people who already know how to safely self-regulate their tremoring process.
About this workshop
This 90-minute online session brings together the gentle, mindful tools of Sophrology and the body’s innate tremoring response to help you reconnect with yourself from the inside out. Through a sequence of guided movements, breathing techniques, and neurogenic tremors, you’ll explore how these two powerful modalities complement and deepen each other.
Whether you’re looking to release chronic tension, improve your capacity to self-regulate, or simply develop a more attuned relationship with your body, this workshop offers a grounded, accessible experience — led with warmth and deep professional expertise.
The Sophroliminal Zone
The threshold state where your body does its deepest work.
The sophroliminal zone comes from Sophrology — a mind-body practice created in the 1960s by Alfonso Caycedo, a neuropsychiatrist who blended Western relaxation techniques with Eastern mindfulness practices like yoga and Zen meditation. The sophroliminal zone is the state at the heart of his work.
The word breaks down like this
| Sophos | Wisdom, harmony of consciousness · Greek |
| Phren | Mind · Greek |
| Limen | Threshold · Latin |
Put them together and you get: the threshold of harmonious consciousness.
That state between waking and sleeping where your muscles are soft, your breath is slow, and your mind is quiet — but still aware. You’re not zoning out. You’re not fully alert. You’re hovering right in between.
Your nervous system isn’t bracing. Your body isn’t guarding. And the signals that normally get drowned out — held tension, subtle emotions, patterns you didn’t know you were carrying — start to come through clearly.
This is the doorway Claudia will guide you through — and where the neurogenic tremoring meets it.
