TRE™ Groups in Manchester
Learn about Trauma Releasing Exercises in a safe environment, led by Gareth Toner
TRE is a great self regulating tool. A simple set of exercises are used to trigger therapeutic tremors in the body. The tremors help reset the reflexes and habits in the central nervous system. In tension and trauma the old parts of the brain get stuck in defence strategies making us tight and contracted prepared for fight-or-flight or freezing the body. TRE is a safe and easy way of releasing tension and waking up your body.
The format is very informal. There is a short talk on TRE and the work of David Berceli. We will do the exercises and then share experiences. They are open to anybody.
After learning the exercises it is good to practice on your own. It is also good to plan attending a few groups to get support and feedback on performing the exercises and working with the tremors.
