Course Details:
It is not always simple being in a body. The sense of inhabiting the whole of the space bounded by the skin is not a given, our body maps are constantly shifting. The goal of this workshop is to understand what happens when we dissociate and to use TRE to explore and enhance our embodiment.

We will pay attention to how we ground and how we can come into relationship with our whole body. We will explore meditative awareness and active engagement of the body through TRE. Dissociation can be very hard to spot in ourselves and in others. We will cover neurobiology of the freeze response, the polyvagal theory of Stephen Porges and stress induced analgesia.
