SUMMARY:October 5\, 2014 – London\, UK – TRE Supervision Day: Dissociat
 ion and Embodiment
DESCRIPTION:Date and Time:\nSun 5 Oct 2014: 9.30 to 5.30\n\nWhere:\nDiorama
  Arts Studio\n201 Drummond St\nEuston\, London\, NW1 3HP\n\nCost:\n£110 f
ull price per a day\, non refundable deposit of £40 secures a place.\n\nB
ooking:  http://trelondon.com/supervision/  The supervision days are aim
ed at people with an existing practice of TRE\, primarily people who have
done a Level I workshop.\n\nCourse Details: \nIt is not always simple bein
g in a body. The sense of inhabiting the whole of the space bounded by the
skin is not a given\, our body maps are constantly shifting. The goal of
this workshop is to understand what happens when we dissociate and to use
TRE to explore and enhance our embodiment.\n\nWe will pay attention to h
ow we ground and how we can come into relationship with our whole body. We
will explore meditative awareness and active engagement of the body thro
ugh TRE. Dissociation can be very hard to spot in ourselves and in others.
We will cover neurobiology of the freeze response\, the polyvagal theory
of Stephen Porges and stress induced analgesia.\n\nFacilitator: Steve Hai
nes\n\nSteve has been working in healthcare for over twenty years\, primar
ily as a bodyworker since 1998. His worldview has been shaped by advocacy
in mental health\, being around AIDS activism and his practice of yoga\,
meditation and skiing. He is continually inspired by the change that can
happen through paying attention to the body. He is a Level III TRE train
er.\n\nHe is a biodynamic craniosacral therapist\, UK registered chiroprac
tor and also trained as a shiatsu practitioner. He lives and treats betwe
en London and Geneva and teaches cranial work internationally\, including
Switzerland\, UK\, Ireland\, Israel\, North America and Australia. He is
co-author of ‘Cranial Intelligence – A Practical Guide to Craniosacral
Therapy’ www.cranialintelligence.com. For one to one sessions check
