The understanding of pain has changed radically in the last decade. There are no pain signals, no pain pathways or pain centres in the brain. Pain is always about meaning, context and emotion. There are danger signals from body, pain is the result of your assessment of how dangerous you perceive those signals to be.
They are many factors that affect our sense of danger. Trauma and overwhelming stress create a heightened sense of being unsafe and predispose us towards pain. We will explore how TRE changes the nervous system and how we can down regulate central sensitisation and break the cycle of pain.
TRE Supervision Days
The goal of supervision days is to help you deepen into your practice and understanding of TRE. They are open to anyone who has attended a 3 day TRE Level 1 course or has a strong TRE self practice.
Each day will be a mix of personal practice of TRE, lectures on associated theory, discussion of your own responses to TRE and observing and supporting others through the TRE process.
Each day is a stand alone workshop, so you can attend any single day.
Attending one supervision day can count as one personal supervision session (to be agreed with your supervisor) towards your TRE Certified Provider accreditation.
