Case Study Instructions and Research Instruments
The CARE Case Report Checklist is a standardized format adopted by the TRE® community to document clinical observations and outcomes consistently. One of TRE®’s strengths is the diversity of backgrounds among its practitioners and instructors. While this diversity enriches our community, it also presents challenges in creating research tools that are universally applicable.
The following guidelines outline how to conduct and write TRE®-related case studies using the CARE Checklist format. This structure can be adapted to a wide range of conditions, and the selection of case study subjects should align with your professional scope of practice. Whether you are a massage therapist, chiropractor, clinical psychologist, or from another discipline, the CARE Checklist provides a flexible framework for your research.
The TRE® Research Work Group will review high-quality case reports, provide feedback, and submit selected reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals. You will have the opportunity to review and approve your case report before submission.
The CARE Case Report Checklist is a standardized format the TRE community is utilizing to report clinical observations and outcomes. One of the strengths of the TREcommunity is the diversity of backgrounds who practice and teach TRE.There is importance to this, but also a challenge in designing a research tool that will “fit for all.”
