TRE® Module 3 – Global Outreach
November 2026 | Sissinghurst, Kent
Trainer: Kate Munden, Global TRE® Certification Trainer & Mentor
Module 3 is where TRE® training expands beyond one-to-one facilitation into the skills, judgement and confidence required to work with groups, alongside more advanced interventions and the safe use of touch.
TRE® was originally developed by Dr David Berceli with a vision of making body-based stress and trauma support accessible to larger groups and communities, including populations with limited access to individual therapeutic support. Learning how to facilitate TRE® safely within a group is therefore an important part of its heritage — and a distinctive skill in its own right.
During this highly experiential in-person module, we explore how to structure and hold TRE® groups, work with different populations and remain attentive to individual needs while facilitating the room as a whole. We also develop more advanced ways of supporting the tremor process, including helping movement travel through different areas of the body and exploring touch interventions safely, sensitively and with clear consent.
There is a strong emphasis on **discernment**: learning when an intervention may be useful, when less is needed, and when the most skilful choice is simply to observe and allow the process to unfold. We also explore the relational dynamics that can arise in facilitation, including transference and countertransference, and how your own embodied awareness informs the way you work.
Returning to Module 3
Module 3 is also open to **Certified TRE® Providers who would like to repeat the training.
Returning gives you the opportunity to practise group facilitation again, refine your touch interventions, revisit advanced skills with the benefit of greater experience and receive feedback within a supported in-person environment.
It can be particularly valuable for Providers who trained some time ago, who have had limited opportunities to practise group work, or who simply want to sharpen their confidence and hands-on skills.
Joining Module 3 From Another Training Pathway
Places may also be available for TRE® students who have completed **Modules 1 and 2 with another Certification Trainer** but are unable to attend their own Trainer’s Module 3 dates. This needs to be discussed and agreed in advance to ensure continuity with your existing certification pathway.
The training may also be particularly valuable for students whose previous TRE® learning has been predominantly online and who want more opportunity to develop their facilitation, observation, group and touch skills **in the room with other people.
Module 3 is an advanced TRE® training and is only open to participants who have already completed TRE® Modules 1 and 2.
Whether you are completing Module 3 for the first time or returning as an experienced Provider, the emphasis is on practice: refining what you notice, expanding the interventions available to you and developing the judgement to know **when, why and how to use them.
