Description: The course will be very practical. The goal is to help you learn TRE and deepen your experience of the tremors. Each morning and afternoon session you will be supported through the exercises and tremors. There will be plenty of time for discussion and sharing of your experiences. We will explore the theory behind the model, see the highlights below. We will also develop your skills so you can begin to support other people through the exercises. By completing the follow up Level One certification process you will be certified to teach the exercises to other individuals.

  • Elements of anatomy and neurophysiology
  • Neuroethology of the stress response
  • Neurogenic tremors in mammals and polyvagal theory
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, aging
  • Iliopsoas muscle in the fight-flight response
  • Guidelines for the induction of neurogenic tremors
  • Integration of TRE with other modalities
  • Scientific research on TRE
  • Trauma release, self-awareness and spiritual growth

Bios:

Steve: Has been working in healthcare for over twenty years, primarily as a bodyworker since 1998. His worldview has been shaped by advocacy in mental health, being around AIDS activism and his practice of yoga, meditation and skiing. He is continually inspired by the change that can happen through biodynamic craniosacral therapy and TRE. He studied BCST with Franklyn Sills, Michael Kern and Katherine Ukleja. He studied TRE with David Berceli and he is also a UK registered chiropractor and trained as a shiatsu practitioner. He lives and treats between London and Geneva and teaches cranial work internationally, including Switzerland, UK, North America and Malaysia. He is co-author of ‘Cranial Intelligence – A Practical Guide to Craniosacral Therapy‘.

Riccardo: Following his years of medical research activity in Italy and in the USA for the National Institutes of Health, and driven from his own necessity to heal from trauma, Riccardo was led to integrate the knowledge of modern science with the art of alternative healing. He trained extensively under the guidance of David Berceli since 2007; he holds a master degree in biological sciences and a doctorate degree in neurophysiology. He is further experienced with many other therapeutic modalities (hatha yoga, biofeedback, intuitive medicine, applied kinesiology, neuromodulation technique, reiki etc.). Read here an interview about TRE.
