ALEX GREENE, LMT, TRE Trainer, SEP, IFS, Feldenkrais Practitioner
Global Certified TRE® Provider and TRE® Certification Trainer
Alex Greene discovered TRE® in 2013 and has been teaching and practicing it ever since. Today he is a TRE® Certification Trainer with 12+ years of experience in the method, offering trainings in the U.S. and internationally. Alex has guided TRE in diverse settings—from FDNY firefighters, to Catholic missionaries in Africa, to frontline hospital staff preventing burnout, to volunteers serving wildfire survivors in Maui. Internationally, he has presented TRE at conferences in Romania and Japan, and trained social workers in Kenya. Alex sees TRE as a groundbreaking, culturally adaptable practice for resilience and healing.
Training & background. Alex’s professional background spans more than 20 years working with individuals and groups through bodywork, somatic therapy, and trauma resolution work. In addition to TRE®, his training includes certifications in Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, DARe and NARM attachment work, the Safe & Sound Protocol, Brainspotting, Structural Integration bodywork, and the Feldenkrais Method. Alex has also been a pioneer in exploring how TRE® can be adapted for bodywork/manual therapy settings, contributing to books and conferences on this subject. He is also the co-founder of Neurogenic Integration, an online education platform that develops courses and practitioner resources at the intersection of TRE and somatic therapies.
Contemplative practice. In his post-college years, Alex completed three years of monastic training at the Chozen-ji Zen Temple in Honolulu. This contemplative background—rooted in practices of breath, posture, and presence—shapes his approach to TRE and somatic work. He is known for his knowledgeable, warm, and grounded teaching style that integrates both experiential and theory-based learning. He is committed to creating trainings that are embodied, accessible, and transformative, weaving together his broad range of expertise in service of personal and collective healing.
