Language: The language will be Norwegian.
The course will be very practical, with a focus on learning how to teach the TRE exercises, be grounded and creating a safe space for the client and group, and how to deal with any reactions a client might have while doing TRE. You will also get to do a significant amount of TRE and tremors yourself. The rest of the time is for sharing of experiences, discussion, and lectures with the theory behind TRE.
Topics for the theory lectures:
Anatomy, neurology, and physiology of stress and trauma as it relates to TRE
Understanding the tremor response
Defense reactions as they relate to TRE.
Containment and grounding strategies.
The skills of working with individuals and groups.
The teacher in this module 2 is Hans Holter Solhjell. In addition to my master degree in pedagogy, I am trained as a Feldenkrais practitioner, Somatic Experience Practitioner as well as a TRE Certification Trainer. I also am trained in NLP, the Sounder Sleep System and in my practice work a lot with parents, communication, conflict management and children’s development, as well as trauma therapy.
