SUMMARY:TRE\, Yoga and releasing the psoas
DESCRIPTION:Yoga\, TRE and releasing the Psoas.\nThe more I work with TRE\,
  the more I'm noticing that when the body starts to tremor and move\, some
  of the positions it ends up in closely resemble some common yoga postures
 .  These yoga postures are also designed to stretch\, tone and release th
 e psoas muscle. Sometimes\, when teaching yoga I notice that there are com
 mon postures that cause people to tremor. Again\, a release of the psoas.\
 n\nThis brings me to the conclusion that it is all connected and both yoga
  and TRE when practiced together can help to untie some of the knots of te
 nsion and trauma stored in the body.\nThe Psoas is the main muscle that jo
 ins the top half of your body to the legs. It is the muscle that makes you
  walk and run and also the muscle that makes you kick\, hence often being 
 referred to as the fight or flight muscle.\nIn this workshop we will explo
 re the psoas muscle which will help to understand how it affects the rest 
 of the body when it becomes tense.\nThere will be an hour’s yoga practic
 e\, working with postures that release and relax the psoas. I have noticed
  over the years that certain yoga postures target and  release the psoas 
 causing the body to shake. This is a perfectly natural way to release tens
 ion and stuck trauma from the body.\nThen there will be a TRE session wher
 e you will learn the TRE exercises\, and how to start and stop the tremors
 . You will also learn some grounding techniques\, what self regulation is 
 and how to self regulate.\nTRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) is
  a unique and innovative approach to stress reduction and trauma healing d
 eveloped by Dr. David Berceli\, a trauma therapist and social worker.\n\nT
 RE consists of a series of simple exercises designed to activate the body'
 s natural tremor mechanism\, facilitating the release of tension\, stress\
 , and trauma stored in the muscles and nervous system.\n\nThe primary goal
  of TRE is to initiate neurogenic tremors\, which are involuntary shaking 
 or trembling movements that originate from the body's core (the psoas) and
