 ies is a natural and compassionate response\, and we all do this regularly
  with friends and family members. But when does the story go too far\, tak
 e away from the intention of releasing the trauma from the body or stray b

 y\, such as: How to skillfully use your client’s trauma story? How do yo
 u contain the story and the emotions? When do you redirect and when do you

  Counselor\,  Registered Yoga Teacher\, Certified TRE Trainer\, is a pion
 eer in the field of health and wellness education. Her heart-centered\, cr
 eative and effective tools were developed directly from her 40+ years of a
 s a school teacher\, counselor and mental health clinician. Lynea’s Yoga
  Calm program was developed in a behavior classroom in a rural Oregon ele
 mentary school 20 years ago and is now being used with tens of thousands o
 f children around the world in diverse settings such as urban classrooms\,
  clinics and psychiatric hospitals like the Mayo Clinic.\n\nLynea has exte
 nsive experience with TRE having organized and assisted with dozens of cer
 tification trainings over the last 10 years with Dr David Berceli and lead
 ing her own Certification trainings for the last several years.\n\nDevelop
 ing emotional literacy\, community\, and resilience are the hallmarks of L
 ynea’s approach and are exemplified in her award-winning books and media
 : Yoga Calm for Children\, Mindful Moments Cards\, Good People Everywhere\
 , Little Banty Chicken and her latest\, Little Book of Healing: A Colori
 ng Book for Grief and Loss. Lynea has been featured on TV regarding chil
 dren and trauma\, and writes frequently on this and other health subjects
 .\n\nLynea is an adjunct professor at Portland State University\, Lewis &a
 mp\; Clark College and the University of the Pacific\, where she has creat
 ed over a dozen courses in counseling and special education and has taught
  thousands of teachers\, counselors and therapists. Her online course Tra
 nsforming Childhood Trauma is a strength-based approach for working with 
 trauma in classroom and therapeutic settings. Lynea is a current licensed 
 professional counselor with the state of Oregon\, holds an MS in counselin
 g in education from PSU\, and is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Allia
