They are a dynamic process that can change seve ral times throughout a session. How you respond to your client strengthens the sense of connection\, reestablishes safety\, attunes provider and cli ent\, and lets them know that “they are not alone”.\n\nDavid: Yes\, cl ients need to be really “seen” before doing interventions. Often Provi ders are not watching what’s present in the moment\, instead thinking ab out what to do next. What the client needs in the moment is so much more i mportant than trying to figure out what to do next — a failure of the po pular “trauma-informed” cookbook approach to client work.\n\nDavid: Be YOU. His ap proach emphasizes the importance of building and strengthening people’s autonomy and valuing the knowledge acquired from cultural heritage and lif e experiences.\n\nBorn in Brazil\, Mariano left at the age of nine and liv ed in Ivory Coast\, Angola\, Senegal\, France\, the USA\, and Thailand.
